Has the Lightspeed integration been tested against a real account?

Accepted Answer

Not yet. It is built and unit-tested against mocked Lightspeed endpoints, and a live run needs a venue's own Lightspeed API credentials. Treat it as a description of what is built rather than as a statement that it works in a particular restaurant.

Is Scanduro a Lightspeed partner?

Accepted Answer

No. There is no partnership, certification, endorsement or marketplace listing. The integration uses Lightspeed's documented public API with credentials the venue's own business holds.

Question 3

Which Lightspeed products does this support?

Accepted Answer

Lightspeed Restaurant K-Series, and only K-Series. L-Series is not supported, and neither is U-Series, which authenticates through a different mechanism entirely and would be separate work rather than a configuration change.

Question 4

Does connecting Lightspeed mean Scanduro touches payments?

Accepted Answer

No. What is pushed is an order: lines, quantities, modifiers and a reference. Payment is taken on the venue's own terminal in Lightspeed. Scanduro processes, holds and routes no money, with or without a POS connection.

Question 5

What happens if the push to Lightspeed fails?

The order is unaffected. It has already been accepted and the kitchen ticket has already printed; the failure is recorded against the order as an event the staff screen shows, so it can be rung into the till by hand. The push is never between a guest and the kitchen.

Could the same order be sent to the till twice?

No. A single send marker per order is claimed atomically in the database before anything is pushed, enforced by a unique index rather than by application logic, so a retry or two concurrent triggers resolve to one push.

Will the menu sync overwrite the menu in Lightspeed?

Accepted Answer

No. The sync reads Lightspeed items and fills in matching product references on the Scanduro side; it writes nothing to Lightspeed. It runs as a dry run by default, and a name it cannot match is returned unmatched rather than guessed.
