Does the guest pay through Scanduro?

Accepted Answer

No. There is no card form, no wallet and no diner-side payment of any kind. The guest pays at the venue's counter, on the terminal the venue already has. Scanduro records that an order was marked paid as a timestamp on the order; it never processes, holds or routes venue funds.

Does the guest have to install an app to order?

Accepted Answer

No. The code opens an ordinary web page in the phone's own browser. The menu and the cart are one HTML form with no JavaScript and no second round trip, so it loads on a weak signal and works on an old handset.

Is there a cookie banner between the guest and the menu?

Accepted Answer

No. The scan surface is served from a separate origin that sets no cookie and uses no browser storage, so there is nothing to ask consent for. It also sends no referrer, because the URL of that page identifies one venue's table.

Question 4

Can a guest change the price in the order form?

Accepted Answer

No. The browser submits item and modifier identifiers only, never an amount. The server re-resolves each identifier against the venue's own live catalogue and copies the price from there at order time.

Does editing the menu change orders that were already placed?

Accepted Answer

No. Every line copies its price onto the order when the order is placed, and every total is derived from those copies rather than from the live menu, so a later price change cannot restate an earlier bill.

Can two locations of the same brand both have a Table 6?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A table's order link carries that table's own code rather than its label, and the venue behind a menu page is read from the page record rather than from anything a visitor can influence, so identical table names across locations cannot cross over.

What happens if the kitchen printer is offline?

The order still lands on the staff screen. Ticket delivery is best-effort and separate from the order itself, so an unreachable printer surfaces as a reprintable failure rather than as a screen that stops responding mid-service.

What does QR ordering cost?

Accepted Answer

Every workspace gets a 30-day ordering trial. After that, each location with tables that takes orders is €15 a month, on Starter (€9 a month) or above. A pickup-only location with no tables, such as a home kitchen or takeaway where guests pay online (Mollie in Europe, UPI in India), is included in every paid plan: one per workspace.
